Soak skewers in warm water for some 10 minutes.Preheat barbecue to medium-high.Thread cut up frankfurters onto skewers, alternating with basil leaves, eggplant, onion, mushrooms and tomatoes.Place skewers in a large dish and add remaining ingredients.Cover and refrigerate for about 30 min.Remove kabobs from marinade, drain and put on hot grill.Cook 6-8 min., turning occasionally.Serve with pasta dressed with garlic and fresh Parmesan.
